Nandi hill also called as Nandidurga is a range of two Hills in outskirt of Bangalore best known for watching sunset and sun rise in the city. One of the hills is in the form of Nandi (lord Shiva’s bull) in sitting position which is clearly visible while passing through the road near it. Several young boys and girls will be seen here on weekends they come in bikes, as the place is near to Bangalore and the road is also good. Moreover climbing a hill on bike on zig-zg road adds thrill to the biker. Family persons come here for a one day picnic.
How to reach Nandi Hills
Best time to reach there is in morning (6.00 am) before sunrise as you can see the clear and beautiful sunrise. Nearest Railway station: Bangalore
Nearest Airport: Bangalore.
Distance from Bangalore: 70 km time taken 1:30 hrs
Follow NH-7 up to Devanhalli after that a sign board on left side will show the way to Nandi, going on that till 20 km will reach Nandi hills.

Useful Tips for Nandi Hills
(a) Go early before 6 in the morning to see sunrise and return by afternoon as it will be hot after 12.
(b) Bike/Car parking is available on top of hill.
(c) Restaurants and food zones are also available on top so ,no need to worry for breakfast or lunch. Prices are little bit on higher side.
(d) Fresh grapes are sold on the way to hills as lot of grapes farms is seen on either side of road there. But grapes price is same as u will find in city.
(e) Some beautiful spot are there in top to take picture. So do not forget to carry camera.
